Not sure what to say?

He was my 8th grade science teacher and our student council advisor. He was a soft spoken man with gentleness and quiet strength. I remember seeing him walking to school with a fellow science teacher William Miller. He was a great example. I also became a science teacher in 8th grade. He was a a great role model.

Very sorry to hear about Mr. Rieder. I was one of his students the 1st year he taught at Jefferson Jr. High in Emmaus. He is still one of my favorite teachers. What still amazes me is that even though it had been almost 60 years since I'd had him for a teacher, he remembered my name at a class reunion (and no name tag to remind him!). He claimed he remembered everyone from that year as we had made his first year teaching "easy". Bon voyage Mr. Rieder.

Love to Mr. Rieder's family. I always felt like Mr. Rieder "had my back" when I attended Emmaus Jr. High where he was Vice Principal, which should not be confused with being soft on discipline or maintaining proper decorum. He was fair, he listened intently, and he remembered details. RIP Mr. Rieder.

Carol, So very sorry to hear about Ron´s passing. Worked as secretary with Ron at Eyer. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this difficult time.

Dear Carol, I don't have the words to express the loss of Ron. I loved that he was always so upbeat and could put a smile on your face at anytime! I will miss him. He touched so many lives both professionally and personally. I am also sending this message on behalf of our class of 76. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Denise

I am saddened to hear this news. Mr. Reider was a legend for many East Penn School District Students. I am certain he had an influence on many, including me. As a student, he always acknowledged me by name. As an adult, we often passed each other, while he was walking and I was running. We always had an engaging conversation in those few minutes. My thoughts to Carol, and the rest of kin.

Ron was a great husband to Carol, father, friend, principal, neighbor, athlete with a caring attitude and energetic personality. He lit up every room he walked into with his smile and charm! He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

To the Rieder family...So many of my childhood memories involve your Dad and your family. From the infamous picnic when Mark and I took a roll on my bike to the many camping trips and those instances where I got to "visit" him in his office at the junior high ( I dont know why!) He was a great influence on my life and I will always remember him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We have wonderful memories of Ron at Labor Day picnics. May your happy times bring you comfort. God Bless, Betty & Merle
