Ron was one of our favorite nephews. He came to Terre Haute many times usually with Sandy. He loved to help on the farm and run the tractor. Richard and John welcomed his help. He had handsome smile and fun loving laughter He was Meemaw's first grandchild. We always enjoyed visiting with him, and we are proud of his accomplishments. We wish we could have had him on this planet longer, but the Lord wanted him. Love from Aunt Marilyn and Uncle John

Sandy, I am so sorry to hear of Ron's Passing.....you and your whole family are in my thoughts and prayers.

My memories of Ron are many, both as a trooper and a business man. He was one of those individuals that I truly respected and was so happy to call a friend. He was very instrumental in my becoming a state police officer through his example and encouragement. His sense of humor and professionalism in all that he did set the bar high for others. I have so many fond memories of working with Sgt. Ron Schinkle, Unit 240, while he was at Springfield Post 12. Ron was my Sergeant for many years. I truly loved his sense of humor. My husband Chuck and I had dinner with him and Sandy in Enon one evening many years ago when our children were all babies. We were delivering their new picnic table that was hand made by Chuck. Chuck always said that picnic table would last forever. I pray that Ron and Sandy had many enjoyable dinners at that...
