Roosevelt Stewart Obituary

Roosevelt "Rooster" Stewart Sr., 68, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Gibson, died at 12:03 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Jones Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, June 20, at Sunlight Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Triumph Baptist Cemetery in Gibson.
He is survived by his sons, Roosevelt Jr. and Donrell Stewart, Kevin Delcour and Jeremiah Pittman; brother, Joseph Stewart Jr.; sisters, Jeannie and Christine Stewart, Eartha Johnson, Rosetta Jones, Penny Kennedy and Maria (John) Ward; son-in-law, Larry Jack Jr.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Delcour Stewart; children, Catina Stewart Jack and Donta' Stewart; parents, Joseph Sr. and Rosetta Nell Ballard Stewart; maternal grandparents, Oliver Sr. and Cristian Winn Ballard; paternal grandparents, Jim and Lydia Lewis Stewart; and siblings, Michael Stewart and Vivian Young.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
