David Nicholas Pierce, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 67. Though he was born on August 17, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana, David made his home in Gibson, Louisiana, where he dedicated himself to both his family and his work. As a self-employed contractor, David was a testament to hard work and determination. He took great pride in his craft, even taking on the monumental task of building his own home. His passion for construction was matched only by his love for the great outdoors. David enjoyed hunting deer and elk, as well as indulging in his favorite activities on the water, including shrimping, fishing, and crabbing. David was also known as an avid New Orleans Saints fan. Most importantly, David loved his family deeply.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maxine Pierce; his sons Nicholas and Mason Pierce; his daughter Chastity Pierce; his brother Morgan Pierce; his sisters Mary Ann Steen and Cathleen Mahan; his cherished grandchildren, Adriana Pierce, Kyle Bergeron, and Gabrielle Bergeron as well as many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents Bevly Joseph Pierce Jr. and Catherine Pierce; and his brothers Bruce Pierce and Brian Pierce.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a public viewing to be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on December 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
