Edelta Solet Obituary
Edelta will be remembered for her deep love of family, the joy she found in her grand-children, and the faithful companionship of her beloved dog, Snowball, who stayed by her side until the very end. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She can now rest peacefully in the arms of the love of her life, Paul Sr, and son, Paul "Boobie" Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula Guy (Ricky Sr.), Alfreda Dartez (Joseph), and Tamara Dehart; grandchildren, Ricky Guy Jr. (Jamie), Gerald Little, Kagen Little (Deborah), Regina Waguespack (Joshua), and Niki Dehart; great-grandchildren, Whitney, Timmy, Asia, Sully, Brett, Charles, Shay, Grayson and Everleigh; great-great grandchildren, Cody, Elijah, Paisley, and Colton; brothers, Joseph Rodrigue Sr. and Horris Rodrigue; and sisters, Esther Benoit and Florence Leeds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Solet Sr.; parents, Cyril and Eva Albertine Lodrigue; son, Paul "Boobie" Solet Jr.; brothers, Ernest Rodrigue, Norris Rodrigue, Antoine Rodrigue and Albert Rodrigue; and sisters, Rita Parfait, Mary Francis and Lorraine Reed
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Samart Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 12:00 noon. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory Catholic Church will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the services of Forrest General Hospice, especially Debbie Davis MSW, Latresa Dial RN, Alfretha Martin HHA, Joshua Spiers Chaplain, and Dr. Calvin Washington.
