I took my first ballet classes at "Rosalie and Alva's" when I was six years old. My deepest condolences to the family.

Dear Alva,
My heart goes out to you and your sons as you mourn the loss of your dearest Rosalie. She was such a gift to San Pedro, bringing the joy of dance, a sense of humor, and life-long lessons to her many pupils. I will never forget my first class at the studio 52 years ago- Alva taught and Rosalie took class. I had no idea who she was, but when she put her braided red ponytail in her teeth and went whirling accross the floor in chenne turns, I told myself, " I want to be just...

Rosalie taught many of the San Pedro girls. Her flaming red hair and lovely moves instilled the love of dance and the arts. I still imagine she and Tom making corrections on the dance floor. My sympathy to Tom and her family. Anne Hochreich Price
