We were so sorry to learn that Rosie has left us. We met Rosie as we began to work on committees at Screen Actors Guild (SAG) in NYC. I was later privileged to serve with Rosie on the SAG Board here in the NY. Rosie's service to singers and all other performing artists happened across all our unions: SAG, AFTRA, Actors' Equity and even the Actors Federal Credit Unioin! What a talent, what a wit, what a gal! We are so fortunate to have counted her as a friend and we are so happy to be...

Rosie was my cousin. My dad's sister's daughter. I was very proud of her when she sang on tv with the Ray Charles Singers on the Perry Como Show. She sang many commercial jingles especially in cigarette ads when they were still on tv. Other jingles of hers included: Chiquita Banana ('don't put bananas in the refrigerator. I have posted 2 photos here that will make all of us smile as we think of Rosie. The things written here by each person are such a reflection of the love and warmth Rosie gave out to all of us. It is quite a shock to not have her here, because she was so much herself, and so full of vibrant, rich life right up to the last moment. She did it right. And she would love reading every word each person has written!

"Rosebud" as my father used to call her met my father, Bill Mehegan, while they were both graduate students at the University of Michigan. She was a mainstay and part of our extended family since before I was born, 62 years ago and always a companion at Thanksgiving and Christmas; she has always been a part of my life, and her passing has left me grievously wounded, but so grateful to have known and loved her. She was the last direct connection I had to my deceased parents . . . and I will...

So very sorry to hear this news that Rosie has leflt us. I met her very early on in my active involvement with AFTRA and saw her regularly even tho we lived and worked on different coasts. Her caring and dedication to the Union (AFTRA at that time...and we saw each other regularly at the National Conventions and National Board Meetings... there was a great deal more face-to-face interaction with the singer membership in those days. We dealt with issues in our singer caucuses at convention,...
