Ruben Sierra Obituary
Ruben Dario Sierra was born January 30, 1956 in San Antonio to Ruben and Benita "Bee" Sierra. He attended St. Leo's Catholic School and graduated from Luther Burbank High School. Ruben Dario was a proud graduate of Princeton University, class of 1981. He was a true outdoorsman; Boy Scout and scout leader. He was an Eagle Scout and Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow. He served in many capacities as leader, including three years as camp aquatics instructor at Indian Creek. His love of antique cars lead him to a career in auto restorations and auto parts thus becoming owner of Sierra Enterprises. In recent years Ruben Dario established Sierra Computer Systems. Other hobbies included music, piano, cooking and gardening. He was selected to serve as a page in the Texas State Senate in 1969 and has served as Chair Person for precinct 1097. He is survived by his parents Ruben and Benita "Bee" Sierra, brothers and sisters: Regina and Daniel Ramos, Juliana and Pete Perales, Fernando and Anita Sierra, Patricia and Carlos Barrios, Isabel and Bob Shepard and numerous nieces and nephews, loving aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Leo St Vincent de Paul Society 4401 S. Flores. Visitation begins Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm that same day. A funeral procession will depart on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 11:00 am for an 11:30am Mass at St. Leo's Catholic Church. Funeral services conclude at church. Please visit www.mem.com

I was so shocked to hear about Dario, he is and has been a good friend of mine! I live back in San Antonio again, but I've been gone for quite a few years. (I have really missed Dario, and will really miss him.) He was the kindest, loving and gentle person that I had the pleasure of knowing.
