Ruby L. McCartney, 86, of Davenport, IA, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Crossroads Independent Baptist Church, 21141 Scott Park Rd. Davenport, IA. Visitation will begin one hour prior. She will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Macular Degeneration Association.

Ruby was born on July 6, 1937 to Howard "Mac" and Ruby (Kelly) McDaniel in Iowa City, IA. On June 21, 1969, she was united in marriage to Thomas McCartney.
Ruby enjoyed quilting, painting, and spending as much time as she could with her grandkids.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 54 years, Tom; children: Martin Cubbage, Tammy West, Claudy Cubbage, Dianna (Gordon) Graham, and David (Trena) McCartney; grandchildren: Rebecca, Cassandra, Michael, Annie, Zachary T., LeAnna, Craig, Tiffany, Shane, Melissa, Gabriel, A.J., Kelly, Zachary G., and Mia; great-grandchildren: Breanna, Bella, Phoenix, Makai, Kaden, Mason, Jaxon, Scarlett, Bentley, Sadie, Ellyette, Micah, Andrew, Viktoria, Wesley, Isaac, Cayden, Rachael, Levi, Natasha, Max, Tara, Evelyn, and Lilith Ruby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wayne Cubbage, Jr.; sisters: Delores Hopper, Donna Kulp, and Nancy McDaniel; and brother, Gene McDaniel.
