RUDI GEISSLER, 89 EAST DUNDEE - Rudi Geissler, 89, born Nov. 8, 1919, in Poessneck, Germany, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in Clare Oaks Retirement Community in Bartlett. Survivors include children, Burkhard (Judith A.) Geissler of Belvidere and Ulrich (Adrienne Pot) Geissler of Barrington Hills; grandchildren, Karl (Dorie) Geissler of Champaign, Christopher (Natalie) Geissler of Barrington and Stephen (Kate) Geissler of Woodinville, Wash.; granddaughter-in-law, Laura Geissler of Brookfield; and eight great-grandchildren. Predeceased by wife, Irene E. Geissler, whom he married on May 23, 1942, in Mosbach/Baden Germany; grandsons, Marc and Eric Geissler. Memorial service at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, in St. Paul United Church of Christ, 401 E. Main St., (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington, with the Rev. Jeanne Hanson officiating. Interment was private at Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary.
