Rudi H. Geissler of East Dundee A memorial service for Rudi H. Geissler, 89, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 401 E. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. The Rev. Jeanne Hanson will officiate. Interment was private in Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary. Born Nov. 8, 1919, in Poessneck, Germany, he passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at the Clare Oaks Retirement Community in Bartlett. Survivors include his children, Burkhard (Judith A.) Geissler of Belvidere and Ulrich (Adrienne Pot) Geissler of Barrington Hills; grandchildren, Karl (Dorie) Geissler of Champaign, Christopher (Natalie) Geissler of Barrington and Stephen (Kate) Geissler of Woodinville, Wash.; a granddaughter-in-law, Laura Geissler of Brookfield; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene E. Geissler, whom he married on May 23, 1942, in Mosbach/Baden Germany; and his grandsons, Marc and Eric Geissler.
