Grew up playing ball with Rudy excellent player at 9 .. great kid covello ct early 60's

I want to say I am sorry for never finding out about Coach Lugo's passing. There's one memory that sticks to me to this day. I was running late from 5th to 6th period. I had to cross the PE gyms I order to get to my 6th. Coach Lugo made us do push ups for being late. That memory always stuck to me. Just one little interaction. I was fortunate to attend CPHS while he taught there in the early 2000s. Rest in Power Coach!

Hi Mr. Lugo. I was a student from Germany. You showed me how to throw a football correctly. I´ve never seen a football before. I will never forget that.

DEEDEE

THANK YOU MR. LUGO .... YOU WERE THE BEST !!! .... DIANE LAFAYETTE

Raymond K. Brown, CPHS, Class of 79'. I first met Coach Lugo in the summer of 76'. He was the Defensive Coordinator for the football team I played on, and my teacher. I have always remembered the type of person he was. He was a great example of a good Christian. He lived to serve others. He treated everyone with respect. Coach Lugo was my favorite teacher, and one of the best people I have ever known. Coach Rudy Lugo left a legacy of people to hopefully follow his example.

Dear Mr Lugo

Thank you for everything you did for everyone while we were all blessed to have you in our presence.
Teachers don't usually go out of their way to make a student feel better or push them to be a better person, student or sport player.
Thank you for pushing me.

I just found out about Mr. Lugo's passing. I am extremely sad about the news and hope his son chris is doing ok. I'm sure they don't remember me since chris and I were class of 2001, but I sure remember them specially Mr. Lugo. All I can say is that he was a great inspiration to everybody that came his way, including myself and would always make people want to be the best they can.

hi evey one no matter what coach lugo will always live in our heart and he was the best thing that ever happen to canoga park high school. no matter if you have a problem he would help you thats the typ of peron he is all he wants to do is helps people.there was time that he helped me with problems and he always told me don't let any one put you down and no matter what don't ever put you head down.with out him and those words i will never would of been the class of 2009.we will all miss him...

I was very sorrowed to hear of our Coach Lugo's passing. I had recently returned home to my parents in Canoga Park and found some old wrestling trophies. Remembering the old days, I was told by my mother that Coach had recently passed. If Coach hadn't pulled this fat, shy boy out of the gym line and instilled his faith, discipline and fairness in me, I have no doubt where my life would have gone. I will miss him deeply.
