We would like to send our condolences to the family and close friends of Rudy Sr. As a child I grew up down the street from both Rduy Sr. and Rudy Jr. and still to this day do and my favorite memory was around Halloween time Mr. Rudy would give out rolls of pennies. That was the best.We wish the best to all of those touched by this very sweet and brave soul and God Bless.
The Perkins Family

I remember going to Uncle Rudy & Aunt Monies when I was very young with my mom & grandparents (Mary Ann and Florence & Bill Richardson). That was a long time ago. I have been to the reunions over the past few years and have enjoyed seeing everyone - he will be missed.
With Love & Sympathy - Patricia Cay (Shultz) Stewart - oldest daughter of Mary Ann (Richardson) Bates Sr.

I remember the family reunions at his house. We all had fun. I met alot of my husbands family and enjoyed all of them. I will miss Uncle Rudy. He was a great man and whenever you were around him he made you feel loved and welcomed in his home. We are very sorry and our prayers and thoughts will be with the family.

My first memory of Rudy and Monie was almost 50 years ago, arriving in Missouri and Kansas as a new bride, having just married their baby brother Gene, and being welcomed into their home with open arms. Living on the east coast, I hadn't had the opportunity to meet any of Gene's family until our trip west, although I felt as though I had known them for years. Using "snail mail" since computers were not available to us in those days, there was always correspondence between them and myself. ...

Uncle Rudy is among my most cherished memories and will remain there forever. Daddy and Mom used to share stories about Uncle Rudy and Aunt Monie with us from ealier years, and I, in turn, have shared them and all of my memories with my kids. I hold those memories dear. I loved him very much and he was such an important part of our lives. Sandy and Gene Pringle (Caswell's daughter).

Rudy Jr,

We love you & wish we could be there for you but some things have made it impossible at this time. Uncle Rudy will be greatly missed. We have so many great memories of the trips back there & the time spent with Uncle Rudy & Aunt Monie. It was always so hard to leave.
We love you. From : Nina, Gary, Uncle Tommy & Aunt Betty

The Things I Can About Uncle Rudy.
Uncle Rudy you were such a kind, generous man that always had a smile on your face. As your neices and nephews we always knew that when we came to Uncle Rudy and Aunt Monie's house we would have a great time and great memories. We will miss you dearly and love you so much.
