My sincerest condolences to Rudy's family and loved ones. His memorial service was a true testament to the man Rudy was and his imprint on society. Rudy was truly an individual who defined the principles of John Wooden's Pyramid of Success. May your memories of Rudy's life always be a beacon to the future and his smile be the light of your life. Manual, Robert and Tony, and Families:

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Rudy. I have not been in contact with the family since graduating from high school at North High. Manual you and I were closer than the other brothers while we organized and played street football games around the neighborhood. By the way, I am Bob Bass who lived on Cordary Ave. I have a lot of fond memories of playing ball, and some hanging out with you guys. I am...

RUDY WAS ONE OF THOSE RARE, BLESSED PEOPLE, THAT NO ONE, EVER, SAID A BAD WORD ABOUT. I KNEW RUDY IN'61 AND 62, AND TO THIS DAY, HAVE NEVER MET A MORE QUALITY, ALL AROUND, GREAT HUMAN BEING. HE IS THE MODEL THAT WE ALL WISH WE HAD FOR A FRIEND, BROTHER, HUSBAND, SON, FATHER,...SEEMINGLY PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. RUDY MUST HAVE HAD GREAT PARENTS!!

Uncle Rudy was my biggest supporter. He always gave me that thumbs up and smile whatever I did to make him proud. My girls, husband, and I will miss Uncle Rudy dearly. He is my hero and the most courageous man I know. Uncle Rudy will never be forgotten.
Michelle Suarez-Torres (Rudy's niece)

I was so saddened to read of the passing of Rudy. As a member of North High's class of 1964, I can only tell you how special Rudy was. He was truly the kindest, most gentle of men, with a smile that made everyone feel appreciated and welcomed. God Bless all of you at this very difficult time. My sincere condolences, Barbara Alexander

Manuel and family,

My sympathy to the Suarez family on the passing of Rudy. We were close friends in high school, when he used to follow the Varsity Football guys around like a little puppy. Always will remember that great smile of his.

Rudy was one of those rare gifts you meet in life and you know it instantly. He was always up no matter what. He had a smile that just wouldn't quit. He lit up my heart and I miss him.
