Rufus has never been far from my memories of the great years we knew each other, sharing many laughs. My son was born while I served with Rufe on the WUP council. Although he never met Rufus he heard a lot about him from me because they shared a passion for Civil War history. Of course we considered Rufe to be member of our family since he shared his name graciously with our own Rufus - a very gentle and sweet Cocker Spaniel. You will be missed, old friend. My heart is heavy with loss....
