I first met Russ in 1969 when he was elected to The Florida Bar Board of Governors. I was elected to the Presidency that year. He came to my office to congratulate me. Jimmy and I want to express our sincere condolences. Russ was a special friend during our active Florida Bar days. He was a man of huge integrity and concern for others, and his leadership has left its mark in the community. We need more Russell Carlisles.
