Thanks Russ for being my friend RIP

I am sorry to learn of Russ's passing. I interacted with Russ several times during the course of my employment in the recruiting industry, and always appreciated Russ's directness, candor, and guidance. I didn't know him that well per se, but he was clearly a successful individual and a stand-up genuine guy. RIP Russ.

I was Russ secretary when he was VP of personnel at CP . I remember his sense of humor and his compassion for all employees. Deepest sympathy to his family

I had the privilege of working for Russ at Colonial Penn and kept in close touch with him long after we both left that organization. He was a true friend and confidant. I owe much to him and will miss his wit and humor. I learned so much from him. My condolences to Andrea and his family.

One category of relationship to the deceased that wasn't on the list -- great admirer. I would have chosen that one but 'friend' certainly describes what he was to Philabundance and to me particularly.
Russ brought so much to our board. His contribution -- especially on the Governance and Strategic Planning Committees -- was invaluable.
I have fond memories too of his friendship beyond business and philanthropy. We'd have lunch from time to time and I always looked forward to...

My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to Russ´s entire family for the heartbreaking loss of such a wonderful man. In early 1970 I too was a new veteran from the Marine Corps and a Vietnam veteran looking to start a career. A recruiter sent me to interview with Russ for a marketing position at Colonial Penn. But Russ and I hit it off right away and he asked me to join his Personnel Department. For the next 20 years we worked together at Colonial Penn. Russ was an exceptional manager. He...

Russ was my boss for six or seven years and I got to know what a decent person he was. He will be missed. My best thoughts go out to his family.

I worked with Russ at Colonial Penn and The Beam Group. Russ was such a great person and a dear friend. My condolences to Andrea and his entire family. I´ll miss Russ. TomKelly

I was sorry to learn of your recent loss of Russ. I know how hard it can be to lose one's Husband and one's Father. May each of you have peace in knowing Russ no longer has to deal with his illness.
