Nancy, Andy, Sarah, Matt and Family, I was so saddened to hear of Russ's passing. I feel so bad that I hadn't seen him in a long time. He was such a good friend and I always enjoyed the times we would get together to play cards at each others home. Nancy, I love you and will be there whenever you need me. Just know that he has been welcomed into the Kingdom of God and God has embraced him lovingly. My prayers are with you all in this hour of sadness. (Aunt) Linda

I have known Russ for a little over twenty years. Russ was there during the more interesting, and dangerous formative years of my life while I was hanging out with Andy and Matt as a young man. In those days I always had a bit of fear, and a great deal of respect for Russ. It was always comforting to know in the back of my mind that he was on our team just in case we did anything particularly boneheaded, as we were somewhat inclined to do. The older I got, I really enjoyed running into Russ on occasion, and was always delighted for the opportunity to spend time with him. Among all the fathers of all my friends, Russ is the only one that I can honestly say became a friend of mine himself. He never failed to be an interesting, and entertaining man to talk to, and to this day I have to say I still have a great deal of respect for him, and still just a smidgeon of fear. I will miss him.

We will miss Russ very much. He was a good Police Officer and continued that as an Allen County Police Reserve . A good man that can never be replaced.
