My husband Terry and I live in The Village at Canyon Lakes (neighbors of Mary and Bob Ludlow); and as members of Brookdale Canyon Lakes' Community Club, there were periodic visits to BCL for exercising, socializing, dining, etc, which is where I met Ruth. When I introduced myself she said, "My middle name is Avis!" From then on whenever I saw her I always called her Ruth Avis. I was sorry to hear of her passing and will miss her cheery smile. Blessings and peace to all of her family.
