I am just seeing this. I remember Mrs. Leach as Miss Bennett. She was my 3rd grade teacher at Highland Avenue Elementary School in Lansdowne, Pa. She was a wonderful teacher. Our class pulled off a surprise birthday party for her. I think it was her 23rd birthday. Also we all left the 3rd grade with a slight southern drawl.

I just found out about Mrs Leach from brother Jeff Daniels. Ruth and her family were key in my childhood memories as they lived next-door to us on Cavan Drive in Dresher. Not only were they friends and neighbors, but my sister, Nancy Daniels Liebert and I babysat Karen, Susan, and Jim. I want to send the Leech family my sincere condolences for the passing of Ruth Leach.

Wow, I just found out about this. May I say how sorry I was to hear of Ruth's passing, but hers was a life well lived. I worked with Ruth for many years at MCIU. She was a "southern belle", as was my own mother, and I was immediately drawn to her. She loved her job there and the students knew she was a "safe space". Of course her family was her greatest love and she spoke of you all so often. She was also hilarious! Her mantra was "seize the day!" I was always in awe that even at her later...
