Not sure what to say?

To The Tilman Family,
My wonderful memories of "Miss Ruth" will remain with me forever.She had the most organized "Dewey Decimal System anywhere".Her guidance made me aquainted with the the future use of any system in any Library for the rest of my life. She was also My Eastern Star Sister later in life, and I will miss her terribly..Sincerely, Jo Ann Talley Spain, Past Matron, Midlothian Order of the Eastern Star # 85, and former Midlothian H.S. Student

To our precious Mrs. Tilman;
Midlothian High School and Mrs. Tilman our Librarian are wonderful institutions that are permanently engraved in our memories! She spoiled me greatly! When I look back I realize how she gave me the confidence that my contributions were good and important...that is a most precious gift that an educator could give to a student. She always wore immaluate 'waists and skirts' with coordinating cardigans...the cutest little thing flitting about her well...

Our sympathy goes out to the family and we know that God will bless them and care for them. Ruth was quite a person and well thought of by our family.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother was truly loved by all who knew her. We will miss seeing her at the auctions. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. ...Lewis & Brenda Dickerson

Mrs. Tilman was one of those teachers you will never forget. She definitely made an impression on the children she taught. I have never heard anyone who could read
"Uncle Remus" like she could. As children at Powhatan School, we could not wait to go to the library to hear Mrs. Tilman read. She was a remarkable woman who knew who she was and what she hoped she could make of you. As she leaves us for
a while, we are so much better for having known her. My heartfelt sympathy goes...
