Ryan and I became the best of friends while serving in the AF together, in the late 90s, in San Antonio, Texas.
I have so many fond memories of our time together. Too many to count, and too much to type.
Even though our lives took us in different directions, we never lost contact for too long all of these years. We didn't see each other often, but this was the very last time that I did get to see him. January 2018, in Atlanta.
Our birthday month.
Today I would've definitely talked to you to wish you a Happy Birthday, and then 2 days from now you would've done the same for me.
I'll miss that. I'll miss a lot of things. I already do.
I love you, man.
Happy Birthday, Ryan.

Where do I begin! Ryan was my brother from another mother. We were best friends for 29 years. We talked everyday countless of times.. we'd call each other, face time, and text my word we texted thousands of texts. We lived about 2 hours apart but we use to hang out all the time. I'd go see him for a weekend or he'd come see me. We had our differences for sure but we were both so much alike. A day hasn't gone by since Seth called me and told that I don't hurt, think about him, cry a river on the inside. I lost my dad Sept. 2021.. that was hard.. and Ryan was there every step of the way. Ryan and I grew up and experienced a lot of things together, we made a ton of memories. I've never hurt so bad in all my life. I know I won't ever heal from this. 29 years of friendship is a long time but it's how close we were that made it different from other long term friendships. His parents were like my 2nd parents. His dad would tease me all the time. Part of me died the day he did. I know I will miss him forever. I am still in disbelief this happened. We had plans for when we got older. We made plans when we turned 50 each to go on a big trip. I can't begin to heal because I can't accept he's gone. I loved him just like a brother. I'm heartbroken for his family. Aspen especially. I try and think of the good times everyday, but no matter what I can't help but think he's not here, that I can't text or call him with one of my many problems. We had a lot of friends but the 2 of us were just different. It was a deep hearted friendship. And I will forever hurt and miss my brother!
Love u ryan. Love u Gil, Cindy, Seth and Aspen.

Ryan was one of my closest friends and lunch buddy. We always said we needed to save money but we ate out almost every day, lol. We shared a love for Christmas Hallmark movies, celebrity gossip and SEC football. He loved Bama and I love Auburn. I miss him dearly, we showed up for each other when needed. The pics are from my wedding and him closing on his house. My sincerest condolences to the Stringfellow family, Ryan was one of a kind and you will forever be in my prayers.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I loved Ryan and called him my number 2 son. He and I chatted on messenger. When he told me some of the problems he was having with chemo, I told him how we handled it when my husband was getting chemo. I miss our chats. I know it is so very hard. I lost a daughter in 2017, so I do know what you are going through. Again, my condolences.
