Sally Bosse Obituary

Bosse, Sally Ann PALM BEACH GARDENS Sally Ann Bosse (Butzberger), passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. at age 72. She is survived by her loving husband Edward of 49 years; her daughter Kristen and son-in-law John (Corelli) of South Salem, N.Y.; son Scott and daughter-in-law Mara of Bozeman, Mont.; and six treasured grandchildren, Nina, Mary, Theresa, Sofia, Ronald and Joseph. She also leaves her sister-in-law Carol Butzberger; and niece and nephews, Judy, David and Michael and their families. Sally was born in Westlake Ohio, graduated Miami University (Ohio) and taught elementary school in Huntington, N.Y. before marrying golf professional Ed Bosse in 1962. Together they raised their children in Delmar N.Y., spending each winter in Palm Beach Gardens living in a community with many close golf professional families. Sally and Ed have belonged to the Colonie Country Club family in Voorheesvilee, N.Y. for most of their married lives and have many dear friends in and around the Albany area. Sally was extremely active as a volunteer at the Albany Medical Center for 34 years, and was a dedicated singer in her choir at the Delmar Presbyterian Church. Her vocation in life was wife, mother and Nana, and she will forever be remembered for her gentle, caring nature and her love and concern for all those she knew. A celebration of Sally's life will take place at a later date in New York. A memorial service for those in Florida took place on February 12 at the First Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach. Contributions in Sally's name can be made to Albany Medical Center Foundation, Volunteer Recognition Fund, 43 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208.

March 5, 2012

I have just learned of the passing of my precious, adorable friend. Wonderful memories of two years at Manhasset HS Class of 57. Her beautiful smile and laughing eyes have remained in my heart.
I've known three angels in my life. My Mother, who passed at age 63, my big brother, Jack, at age 75 who passed this last Christmas day and now Sally. Someone once told me that God has chosen very special people to leave us early for something more important that he has in mind than being here on earth.
Ed, Kristen, Scott and grandchildren, please know my prayers and thoughts are with you.
If you haven't already, please read "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo. It's a big help.
Warmest regards and sympathy,
Nancy May Rogers, Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Dear Mr. Bosse, Kristen, Scott and Family,

We are heartbroken to hear the news that Mrs. Bosse has gone home to be with the Lord. We have nothing but wonderful memories of our time together in Delmar. It was a magical moment of a bygone era when life seemed so simple and families had time to open their homes and lives to each other. Mrs. Bosse was a second mom to us kids and we will always remember her kind and gentle heart. She was a wonderful friend to our parents who also extend their sympathy and love to you.

We grieve and pray for you all.

In love and sympathy,

Carolyn Riehl Kimbell, Ginny Riehl Bennert, Ben, Fred and Alice Riehl and our families

Ed, Kristen, and Scott. My family and I were sorry to hear of Sally's passing. She was beautiful in so many ways. The entire Bosse family treated me as family during my emoployment as Assistant Golf Professional at Colonie Country Club in the early 70's. Ed served as a mentor to my professional career, as well as a role model on how to balance work and family values. Of course, behind every good man is a good woman. That was certainly Sally! Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Ed, Kristen, and Scott,
Peggy and I are truly sorry for your loss of such a lovely, sweet and caring person as Sally. She lit up the room wherever she was and we know so many people will grieve for you and with you.
I personally feel so much pride that I had a hand in bringing Ed and Sally to the Albany area. The entire Bosse family helped improve the lives of so many residents that they can't be counted. We all owe you more than just our sincere sympathy.

Ed, Kristen and Scott. Some of my fondest memories in the golf business were while apprenticing at Colonie CC surrounded by the Bosse clan. Had it not been for Sally, I probably would of been just a shell of a man by now...(as she used to relieve me for lunch on a daily basis) A truly enjoyable woman with a terrific sense of humor! She truly will be missed and my deepest sympathies to you all. Fondly, Jeff Glass
