Not sure what to say?

A beautiful Celebration of Life was held in Sally's honor on July 11, 2009 in Port Orchard. Family members, friends, and professional peers filled the hall beyond capacity to remember her.

I will miss her greatly and hope that those that knew her will honor her memory as she requested in her obituary in lieu of flowers - by spending time loving their families.

A typical loving request by such a wonderful woman. Aloha Pumehana, Sally, it was my honor to have known you in...

When I first met Sally I thought what a beautiful lady, she dressed well and completed it with beautiful jewelry and a wonderful smile. The more we talked the beauty of what a wonderful person she was shined through and I enjoyed talking to her. Sally was so devoted to meeting the needs of others. Her staff always had the most respect for her, she gave of herself freely and gave them the respect they deserved. Sally will always be close to all of us; as she touched so many lives. We all...

Sally interviewed me for a temporary position. She was professional and kind and we shared a knowing smile when she said that she also had a teenage son - her face lit up. I'm sure she was a great mom. I know that she was an amazing manager at ALTC. You must be so proud of her.

Peace to her family and loved ones. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I knew Sally because we were both Area Agency on Aging Directors for 13 years. Sally brought an unparalleled concern for clients and their needs. It was always the most important thing in any debate. We will miss Sally and are thinking of the family

It was a blessing to know and work with Sally on the Pierce County Aging and Long Term Care Advisory Board. She was such an inspirational executive!
God's peace, comfort and joy be with Sally's family...

I was so sad to read of Sally’s passing. I knew Sally back in the late 1980s and early 90s when I worked at St. Joseph Hospital and she was with Aging and Long Term Care. I was always impressed by her professionalism, kindness, and grace. Even though I retired many years ago and did not keep in touch, I have never forgotten her; she is someone who can not be forgotten.
Sally used to laugh with me that we were Nixon and Reagan…both at the same meeting! She was so warm and...

I've only known Sally for a few months. I was very impressed by her knowledge and strength. My condolences to out to her family.

Sally was one of the gentlest, kindest people I have ever known. She was the best manager I've ever worked for (out of 14). She hired people that she thought could do the job and let them do that job. Her door was always open when I needed help. She managed by example. She was "the greatest".

I remember first meeting Sally back in 1993 before I worked at PC ALTC. Never thought so many years ago I'd be working with (almost 11 years) this amazing woman. She leaves a legacy and will be an inspiration to many of us to continue her vision to serve the Aging community of Pierce County.
