Not sure what to say?

I've been fortunate to have known Sam since we were children growing up in Melrose Park. Sam always treated me with respect and was always a great friend. He had a generous and loving heart and was always a gentleman. One of my fondest memories of Sam is when I moved to Mundelein from Melrose Park and my house needed siding and gutters. Sam came to the rescue. He did a wonderful job 35 years ago and it is still looking like new today. The funny part of the story is ... A job that should...

There are a lot of stories I could tell about Sammy, but what it all comes down to is that he was a very nice guy, thoughtful and considerate. If you needed anything, he was there for you. He was very respectful of my parents who always thought kindly of him because of that.

There aren't many people like that any more, he passed too young and will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him.

Sam is one of the few people who always showed respect to my grandmother, Dolly DiSanti, whenever she was outside and he would drive by he'd stop to say hello.

I always bumped into Sammy at the bars in/around Melrose, when I heard of his passing I purposefully went and bought a 6 pack of St. Pauli Girl to have a few drinks thinking of him. He turned me on to St. Pauli Girl 20+ years back. Here's to you Sammy, a class act who's gone too soon.

My greatest memory of Sammy was taking him out to lunch to New Star one hot afternoon a couple years back.. I'll never forget him ordering the Hong Kong steak that was his favorite dish at this popular nieghborhood joint..My jolly friend had a tremendous passion for food & cooking..He was really cautious to always keep his diet healthy and fresh..I remember him resting his hand on my shoulder as we were exiting and thinking to myself how difficult life was for him not being able...

Thoughts, prayers and hugs are sent your way, often, during this season of loss. I thought it was wonderful that you could all spend this time together, celebrating Figianna's graduation with honors and that he could stay with her and spend time with Mia. Those memories are sure to be treasured, coming so close to this time! Hold each other close! Only God knows the plans He has for each of us, but we know that His plans are always good, to give us a future and a hope!

I knew him so...

My sincerest condolences to the family for your loss. I pray that you have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Phillipians 4:6,7).

My sincere condolences to the family. May the God who binds up the brokenhearted and comforts all who mourn, sustain your family during this difficult time - Isaiah 61:1, 2.

I loved the time we spent together when we were young . I'm so glad we got to talk recently . We'll always have the RV 😔😘❤️

The best to Sam. Sam the A1 aluminum man. He was gold to me. I will miss you. RIP. Love, Chano
