Dear Mrs. Sledge:
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Sledge. I read it at the airport Wednesday morning waiting to go to Maryland to visit our daughter and her family. My heart just stopped. Please tell Sherry, Brad, Steve, and Sally how sorry we are and that I was unable to go to the funeral. Mr. Sledge was so special to my family. We had such a good time togehter. I can't believe it's been 3 1/2 years since I last saw you both. Please know that you are in our prayers and I send my love...

Dear Mrs. Sledge and family,
I know from losing a husband to lung cancer and losing a father that family and friends will pull you through. God's promise is that the pain will fade into loving memories. God bless each one of you.

Dear Aunt Lillian and Cousins,

I know there is rejoicing in heaven now that Uncle Sam has arrived. I can just picture him getting ready to tell a joke.

What a wonderful gift he had of
bringing laughter into our lives.

I will always love him and remember him for his generosity of spirit.

Our thoughts and prayers are with
you at this time.

Love,
Judy Lynn and Bill

Dear Sledge Family:
We love you all so much and we have looked in awe over the years at what a special family you have. We loved seeing you at Possum Kingdom and at your house in Fort Worth. You have raised such special kids and we love Steve so much. Sam always showed his love to his family and was so darn funny. We will miss him and will pray for you all. What a legacy he has left on this earth and now he is in heaven and will always be with you.

I will be out of town Friday, but will being praying for you.
