Not sure what to say?

Sam, I remember the first time I met you at Lucille Packard & was in awe of your strength & beautiful smile. Remember you signing our check in log with an attitude of a warrior & who knew he could handle anything. I miss you Sam very much & think of you often with loving fondness. Thank you for being my strength when I needed it.

You are forever missed...

I just learned about Sam's passing, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I had the pleasure to meet Sam and the Butler, Callahan and Van Bronkhorst families at the Sam's Team fundraising event at my gallery in 2011. I see where Sam got his shining light from - a warm and loving family. I know that Sam brought a lot of light and love to those who were fortunate to know him and I know he will be greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayer go out to his family. Bless you all.

My favorite memory of Sam was when we took him out to BJ's one night for a pizookie. We walked in the door thinking that we would each get one and with Sam's persuasion and big smile at work, we ended up with a party platter sized pizookie to split between the three of us. I will never forget the huge smile on his face and the excitement in his eyes as the waiter set the huge pizookie on our table. Sam is with the Good Lord now, looking out for us and smiling as bright as usual. He is...

Sam is one of the most inspiring people I've ever met. He had so much drive and determination, but also a lot of humor and love, as was shared at his funeral recently.

I got to meet Sam a few times when he was young, and less when he was older, but I enjoyed hearing how he was doing and keeping track even from a distance.

I remember being at Mass with Sam and Suzy one day, long before he was in school. Sam seemed to just take things in very completely. His concentration...

When I used babysit!!!!we would always carefully pick a good movie and I would sit between Sam and Joe. Watching a GOOD movie and eat popcorn, but before that we would try to make old fashion mac and cheese it was funny great times. God bless you and your family. always on my mind love Sonja

a silly day in the summer

I will never forget how much fun we would have over nothing and the giggles we shared.

Sam, I loved you when I didn't know you, when I met you I loved you more. You will always be the man who inspires life. You are my light and my hero. Always in my heart. xo
