Sam Gingerella, the host of a WTIC-AM public affairs program, died after a battle with cancer, according to CBS Connecticut.

"We are sad to hear of the passing of Sam Gingerella," Brian Foley, a Hartford deputy police chief, said Wednesday. "He was always a gentleman and a credit to the media industry."
