I met Sam in 1978 at my first AA meeting. His welcome made me feel at home and helped in my decision to embrace the Program. I've always been grateful to Sam and I'll miss him.

A friend through grade school, high school and college, Sam was sui generis and a credit to his craft.

Dear Pam and family,
So, so sorry! I lost my favorite piano duet buddy from high school. Lee and I will miss our letters from Sam with all of the family news.

Having worked with Sam, and seen and greeted him at many Houston Symphony concerts, we were shocked and saddened by the news of his passing. But, our loss is Heaven's gain, and now he lies with the masters he revered.

Mr. Houston was a very nice man who had many many friends here at 2990 Richmond Ave. where his business was located. We will miss him very much!!!

Dear Pam and Family,

We are so sorry to learn of Sam's death, he has been a true lifelong
friend.
