Not sure what to say?

Bob and Betsy got to know my wife Ginger and me both during and after my time at Wiggin & Dana. After retirement, we sat next to each other on Wiggin's library "atrium" . Perhaps our common background in engineering provided the "glue".

During my 2010 installation as NYIPLA president at the Union League of Manhattan in 2010, Bob was there to provide the support needed. At the Guilford Yacht Club for Wiggin gatherings, he and Betsy provided additional support. RIP! Dale Carlson

To The Jelley Family So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I worked for Bob at Wiggin & Dana in the early 90s. He was such a gentlemen. A bright and pleasant man. May he rest peacefully!

Sarah, Will and Peter, I was very sad to see that your dad passed away. Bob Jelley was one of the finest people I worked with at Wiggin & Dana. I was his receptionist for almost forty years. There was never a day that he didn't have a friendly hello or a kind word or two. He was such a nice man. You should all know the joy that came over him whenever you called the office or came in for a visit. He was just delighted. It was so nice to see. It was easy to see the love he had for all...

Sorry to read of Robert´s passing. We once hiked the Pyrenees with Bob and Betsy and attest to his brilliance and charming personality. We miss him. Darlene and Remy Zimmermann

So many memories of wonderful times with our dear friends, Mr and Mrs J, just to happily reflect on a few: celebrating Quatorze Juillet in Maine; riding the 7 with our backpacked picnic to Billie Jean King for the US Open Qualifiers; going twice on the Bob Jelley-led hiking tour of the French Pyrenees; eating the lamb sausages, beef bourguignon, and sweetbreads at La Luncheonette, always drinking the Chateau de Chambert; attending scores of Met Operas together, including The Ring on May 4-9,...

Single Memorial Tree

Bob Jelley was a man of extraordinary grace and wisdom, a lawyer of unmatched insight and creativity, and a loyal friend and colleague. I had the distinct pleasure and good fortune to work with Bob, first as an Associate, then as a Partner, at Wiggin and Dana from 1977 through much of 1985. He supported my growth and development as a young lawyer by his example: think carefully what it is you wish to communicate; express such directly and effectively, whether in writing or orally. Prepare...

Bob answering the phone in that uniquely New Jersey accent.... "HALLO!?" He was a great friend, a fierce dinner table debater, and one of the kindest, sweetest men I have ever met.
