I only saw Sandra occasionally through the years since graduation. We were classmates and acquaintances at Hoover. I recall from our high school days that whenever we did have a chance to talk her smile and blue eyes would light up whenever we touched on subjects we both were interested in and then you couldn't shut either of us up. Years passed and when we met again we realized we both had the same hobby, genealogy. On this newly discovered common interest you couldn't shut either of us again. A few long, long telephone conversations throughout all the years are something I treasure and wish I had recorded. My dear Darlene, you probably remember waiting for your sister to come out of Office Depot one night and you finally had to come in and retrieve her. It was my fault… hadn't seen her in a long time and we touched upon our favorite subject. She was bright, vibrant, witty and unpretentious. I truly enjoyed talking with her and would give anything to have another one of our few and far between… long, long conversations. She will be missed by her classmates who knew her and loved her. My sincere deepest sympathies to you, your mom and family.
Sandra, I know you are busy tracking down and interviewing every ancestor with all those niggling unanswered questions... Take good notes my friend. God Bless, till we meet again.

Sandra and I communicated a lot through e-mail regarding my family tree. I will miss her on cyber space. Pat Robbins

I was a classmate of Sandra at Hoover High in 1966. Although I have not seen her in many, many years I remember her well as a quiet, unassuming person who was quick with a smile. Back then I considered her a friend of mine and although many years have gone by, I still like to think of her as a friend.
