We have been friends for many years in N.J. and loved both Jay and Sarah. She was a very special gal, a wonderful teacher, and had a very positive attitude towards life.

Sarah, so sorry to hear the news. Your Mom and Dad were very special people.

Prayers for the family. I just lost my mom, and it is the hardest thing one can go through. I'm so sorry. I remember your mom from school.

Sarah was an excellent teacher and friend. I have good memories of us teaching at Wall High School. She was a special person.

What a gifted teacher. She taught in a way to help me understand when no other teacher could. Her memory is etched in my soul and she is one the most influential teachers I have encountered! She inspired me to work in education myself and inspire children like she inspired me! What a gift she was I have never forgotten her!

My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the family. I had the privilege of having Mrs. Blackmon as my 8th grade algebra teacher in NJ, and fondly remember her engaging smile and laugh as well as her ability to impart the knowledge needed to perform solving algebraic equations. She made a difficult subject fun and lasting so I could still share some of the knowledge with my own children.
