We have been friends for many years in N.J. and loved both Jay and Sarah. She was a very special gal, a wonderful teacher, and had a very positive attitude towards life.

What a gifted teacher. She taught in a way to help me understand when no other teacher could. Her memory is etched in my soul and she is one the most influential teachers I have encountered! She inspired me to work in education myself and inspire children like she inspired me! What a gift she was I have never forgotten her!

My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the family. I had the privilege of having Mrs. Blackmon as my 8th grade algebra teacher in NJ, and fondly remember her engaging smile and laugh as well as her ability to impart the knowledge needed to perform solving algebraic equations. She made a difficult subject fun and lasting so I could still share some of the knowledge with my own children. I also had the privilege of sitting behind her daughter, Sarah, through most of middle school, and we also played soccer together. I am deeply sorry to learn of her passing, but pray the memories she made with all of you will always bring you joy in your heart.

My heartfelt prayers and sympathy goes out to her family I had the privilege of having Mrs. Blackmon as my 8th grade algebra teacher in NJ, and she was wonderful. I´ll always remember her sweet laugh and smile and skill for imparting math in a way it could be understood and remembered years later so I could help my own children. I also had the privilege of sitting behind her daughter, Sarah, through much of middle school and played soccer with her as well. I am blessed to have known both Sarah´s and I pray the memories she made with all of you will keep her kind and jolly spirit alive in each of you.

Stan had the pleasure to work with Sarah at Wall Twp. High School and then we became next-door neighbors on River Rd. She was a fun loving person who was devoted to Jay, her family and friends. Sarah & I spent time walking in the area and then joined a group who learned and played golf. She had an infectous smile and personality. She and Jay will be able to celebrate their 60th Anniversary in Heaven. She lived her life enjoying every moment and I was able to enjoy it with her while I lived in Manasquan. God bless Sarah and Jay and comfort her family at this time of sorrow.

May her memory be for a blessing. She was such a good friend to me when I started teaching at Wall high school and all the years after. It was great to stay in touch with Sarah on Facebook and chat now and then. We always had a connection and I am sure I am not the only one.
