Sarah Lizell

SARAH LIZELL Sarah (Rossi) Lizell, 86, of Collegeville and formerly of Lansdale, died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Artman Lutheran Home. She was the wife of Russell Lizell, her husband of 67 years. Born August 21, 1926 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Palmiro and Maria Augusta (Pineda) Rossi. In 1955, Mrs. Lizell moved to Lansdale with her husband and founded Lansdale Office Supply Co. Her family owned and operated the business for over 50 years which continues today as Lizell Office Furniture, Montgomeryville. Sarah previously served on the Lansdale Public Library Board of Directors. She will be remembered as a hardworking woman and dedicated mother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Alfred Lizell and his wife, Annette, of North Wales, Anthony Lizell and his wife, Patricia, of Fort Washington and Carol Lizell of Collegeville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis Rossi of Doylestown and Vincent Rossi of Upper Salford; and her sister, Carol Gavin of Upper Salford. She was preceded in death by a niece, Anita Deni. Relatives and friends may call after 10AM Wednesday, June 5, at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11AM. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
