I am sorry for your loss, which is our loss as well. I am Dean of Students at UNC and, although I did not know Scott personally, I have heard about his big heart and unique way of making others feel special. On behalf of the WASC, we want to share our deepest sympathies for the loss of Scott Miller. Scott's legacy will continue to live on in the students and staff he inspired during his involvement at the WASC. This man gave me the gift of believing in myself and pushed me to always do my best. He supported me in times of distress and guided me through my childhood, that made me who I am today. I will forever miss him and my heart goes out to his family. May his soul find peace in the afterlife.

I remember Mr. Miller as a kind soul. Always welcoming to a student in need of encouraging words, a lesson taught, a guided hand. I am saddened to hear of his passing. He wasn't just a teacher or principal, he was a friend, a mentor. He will be greatly missed by many! He touched the lives of everyone he met along his journeys with his wise and kind words. RIP Mr. Miller.
