Not sure what to say?

What an inspirational and delightful human being! Our son had him for a swimming coach in high school. Scott was always positive even with corrections. He always took one on one time with our son if he needed extra help.He not only helped his swimming skills, but also improved his skills for life. Scott is forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Shery and family, Scott was a remarkable man. He left a mark on so many lives. Warm hugs and love to all of you.

Scott was a wonderful coach he cared so much for everyone. I Swam in high school, he was a great teacher. He wanted everyone to be the best the could. My thoughts are with his family in this difficult time.

I as a swim coach had the honor to meet and be around Scott through that avenue. Plus my sons Nick & Spencer were on the MP high school team. Nick was a friend & swam with Scott´s son Paul. My daughter Meredith Jenks Asst Coached under Knowles & he recommended her and she followed him in the role of MP head swim coach when he retired. She became an English teacher at MP. Scott holds special memories to our family. He will always be remembered!!

Mr. Knowles was a great coach and teacher! I can still remember him teaching me Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species.... He was a caring mentor to me and so many others! I will remember him with a smile and send prayers to his family!

My deepest condolences to the family. Im one of the caregivers that took care of Bill Knowles at A Holistic AFH and got to know Scott pretty well over the years that Bill was there with us. Im sorry to hear of this news. May Scott rest peacefully and i hope he is enjoying a walk with his Dad.

Coach Knowles was a significant figure in my life from 12 years old through about 20. Swimming was so important to me and he was such a great inspiration and motivator. He was a role model and I learned life lessons from him. Love you, Coach.

Love, sympathy and many unending prayers. Laurel Lundgren Parratt and my daughters Kimberly and Kristin. Monty sends his love from heaven.

There are people in this world who leave only after they have left their mark. Scott was one of those people. Scott worked with every walk of student, at Marysville Pilchuck High School, and left his mark with them. They LOVED him. He wasn´t loud or flamboyant but he did have two dead rats on the wall in front of his class!!! Hmmm I wonder what message that sent??? As a swim/dive coach Scott was always looking for those kids that needed to believe in their own accomplishments and he did his...
