We were thinking of you at our 40th CHS reunion. Can't believe it's almost 10 years since your passing. Save a spot for us, will ya?

I just got word of his passing today from his son Brandon. It truly saddens me bacause this man was my hero. He was one of my closest friends and the greatest funniest most generous man I have ever met. I look back and realize that I'm never going to see the man that carried me accross the stage at the firecamp graduation. I will never see the man that let me drive a firetruck because I was too small to drive a go cart. I will never see the man that gave me the courage to reppel off a six...

This artwork was done by me back then... it was taken from a photograph of him water skiing on Lake Havasu.
Scott and I were roommates right after high school in 1979. We shared this great apartment right on the bay in Newport Beach and had too many great times to count. He could make anyone laugh and modeled what it meant to have a true lust for life. I will never forget him.

Dear McBride Family...
It's true...the good ones are taken much too soon. Scott was easily one of the most generous souls to ever cross paths with those of us at Claremont High School. He was always smiling, kind, helpful...lots of fun and a gifted athlete. I'm heartbroken to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear McBride family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies.
My prayers go out to you and to my buddy Scottie.
I have so many wonderful memories of my best friend in high school...from racing around in the Ford LTD wagon and blue Fiat...to him shaking his long blonde bushy hair on the dance floor at all the dances after our football games! I will miss him very much! Gob Bless you all, John

Although it's been many years since I've seen Scott, I will never forget that fantastic smile and his funny, goofy sense of humor. He was the best CHS powder puff coach ever! My sincere sympathies to all of friends and family.
