I met Scott Mori when I began studying botany at the New York Botanical Gardens and took his class in Taxonomic Botany. He was an extraordinary teacher. His enthusiasm and passion for botany was truly inspiring. I did darkroom work for him at the Gardens and then worked with him for six months at CEPLAC in Bahia, Brazil.
