Not sure what to say?

Sherry, We just found out about Scott, I am so sorry. Please know that Aunt Helen & Uncle Gene and I will have you in our thoughts and prayers as you face the days ahead.

As with so many others already posted, I have fond memories of Scott and am saddened to hear of his passing. While I haven't worked with Scott or seen him in about 20 years, I am not surprised to hear others lauding his technical knowledge or his sense of humor; I saw, learned from, and appreciated both from 1980 - 1985. His ability to kid you and keep a straight face will always stay with me. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

Please accept my deepest sympathy to everyone who knew Scott. I had the pleasure to meet him for the first time about 7 months ago. My father, Roger, had known him for the last 12 years and introduced us. I started working a new career at The Hogan Group selling IT consulting and looked forward to building my relationship with Scott. My 1st meeting with him he was down-to-earth, very friendly, funny, smart, and encouraging. I am very sorry to hear of this tremendous loss. Please take...

Dear Sherry and family,

I am truly sorry to hear of Scott's passing. Scott hired me out of college in 1980. I have many fond memories of my time in Omaha and working with Scott. He was a great boss and an even better friend. Scott had a significant impact on my life and I will never forget him.

My deepest sympathy to you and Scott's family.

Scott was a wonderful colleague and a great supporter. You could always count on him to be there for you. He will be dearly missed by many. The community has suffered a loss by his absence.

Scott Pettit Family,

Sorry about your loss, Scott was a very special person! I am a member of the AITP Cornhusker Chapter in Lincoln and always enjoyed talking with Scott during our joint meeting with the Aksarben chapter every October for the past 7 years. Take Care and God Bless all of you!

Sherry,
John and I were sad to read about Scott in the Lincoln paper. We fondly remember the good times with you two in the 'old days' at Keentime dances. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Sincerely, Lorna (Stephen) and John Davis

Dear Sherry and family,

It saddened me to hear of Scott's passing. I have and always will consider him to be one of my very best friends. I have fond memories of my time with Scott, from the daily drives to work, to the regular beatings at raquetball, to the whirlwind ski trips, and the very early computer gaming sessions in your back room.

Scott always brought a unique view and that special sense of humor to virtually everything he did. I am truely honored to have known him...

I was a professional collegue of Scott's for the past ten years. Scott was always the "go to" person when I had a question about technology, not just because he invariably had just the information I needed but because he had that uncommon gift of always taking the time to pass along that information and discuss what it meant. Scott was a rare and good individual; the world is poorer for his passing.
