As with so many others already posted, I have fond memories of Scott and am saddened to hear of his passing. While I haven't worked with Scott or seen him in about 20 years, I am not surprised to hear others lauding his technical knowledge or his sense of humor; I saw, learned from, and appreciated both from 1980 - 1985. His ability to kid you and keep a straight face will always stay with me. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

Please accept my deepest sympathy to everyone who knew Scott. I had the pleasure to meet him for the first time about 7 months ago. My father, Roger, had known him for the last 12 years and introduced us. I started working a new career at The Hogan Group selling IT consulting and looked forward to building my relationship with Scott. My 1st meeting with him he was down-to-earth, very friendly, funny, smart, and encouraging. I am very sorry to hear of this tremendous loss. Please take comfort in knowing that he touched so many people, memories of Scott will live, and everyone will miss him.

Dear Sherry and family,

I am truly sorry to hear of Scott's passing. Scott hired me out of college in 1980. I have many fond memories of my time in Omaha and working with Scott. He was a great boss and an even better friend. Scott had a significant impact on my life and I will never forget him.

My deepest sympathy to you and Scott's family.

Sherry,
John and I were sad to read about Scott in the Lincoln paper. We fondly remember the good times with you two in the 'old days' at Keentime dances. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Sincerely, Lorna (Stephen) and John Davis

Dear Sherry and family,

It saddened me to hear of Scott's passing. I have and always will consider him to be one of my very best friends. I have fond memories of my time with Scott, from the daily drives to work, to the regular beatings at raquetball, to the whirlwind ski trips, and the very early computer gaming sessions in your back room.

Scott always brought a unique view and that special sense of humor to virtually everything he did. I am truely honored to have known him and will miss him.

I was a professional collegue of Scott's for the past ten years. Scott was always the "go to" person when I had a question about technology, not just because he invariably had just the information I needed but because he had that uncommon gift of always taking the time to pass along that information and discuss what it meant. Scott was a rare and good individual; the world is poorer for his passing.

I worked with Scott at Farm Credit for a number of years in the 1980s. I thought a great deal of him professionally and personally. The world is a lesser place for his passing. My best to his family and friends in this difficult time.

Dear Sherry and Family: Phyllis and I are shocked and saddened by the news about Scott. He was one of Farm Credit's finest, could do more in a 70 hour week than most but still had time to be a dear friend to every one of us. We know you will miss him, so will we all.

Sherry & family,
I am deeply sorrowed to learn of Scott's passing. Scott was a wonderful disciple of God on earth. I was fortunate to meet Scott professionally years ago and continued to admire his dedication to education in the Information Technology field. He led by example and I was privileged to call him my friend.

He will be missed by many but he will continue to bless us from above. May God give you & your family strength during this difficult time.

Sherry,
I am greatly saddened to read of Scott's death. Although I haven't seen the two of you in many years, I will always remember Scott as an intelligent, fun person to be around and always full of so many ideas. Like the skateboard marathon in the summer of 1965 so we could get into the Guiness Book of World Records! Oh well, at least we got our picture and names in the Lincoln Star thanks to Scott.
Can't forget that green 1940 Plymouth sedan either and the 4th of July, 1971 when my wife and I sat in our car next to the two of you at the Runza on 56th discussing my wife's very close due date. One of you thought we might have a little "fire cracker" at any time!
Stacy was born 2 days later.

My life has been much richer for having known Scott and I treasure his memory.

I, too, am deeply shocked and saddened at Scott's death. Scott and I have been the only male "regulars" in the Eisenhower/IEQ proposal evaluation process at the Post-secondary Commission for the last several years. I have been doing Eisenhower evaluations for over 20 years in Lincoln, and I cannot recall a more personable, thoughtful evaluator...always aware of others opinions, and never one who "bullied" others into agreeing with his position. If Dr. Fimple asks me to be an evaluator again at the end of 2007, it will be a strangely different process...no Scott with his smile, his strong knowledge base, and his persuasive arguments. He was a gentleman and a gentle man.

May he rest in peace. I will say a special prayer for him and for his family at Mass in the morning.
