Not sure what to say?

It's such a short space for such a special man. I admire Scott's balance in his life- family, faith, friendships and generosity. He valued fairness and morality and the only times I saw him upset was when he witnessed actions that crossed these boundaries. He had principles and I greatly respected him for that. He inspired me to have a full, balanced life, using energy for the important, meaningful things in life, just as he has done these last 6 years. I'm so happy to have known Scott...

Scott always impressed me with his creative vision. Whenever I visit their home, there would be a new contribution from Scott. Whether it was a garden ornament he designed out of scrap wood, a piece of antique furniture that he repurposed with paint and details, painted cabinets, etc....his signature is everywhere. I loved to see what he would create next. I am blessed that my home has something he made as well. I will miss his smile.

I remember the blonde boy who I attended confirmation with. We attended different elementary and Jr High Schools but once a week we saw each other growing up as young teenagers. He always seemed so smart and had answers to all of Pastor Schumacher´s questions. We ran in different circles but knew one another through Christ. I´m so sorry you have lost your son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. Look at your memories of youth and know he is made whole in the arms of the Lord.

Scott, you will be dearly missed. I am proud to be part of your R.A.T. Rider Bike Club. You will always be our club president and our inspiration to "race against time".

Goodbye Scott...thanks for the lesson! Fullbacks race at end of freshman football...loser drags in the tackling dummies. Figured I won and slowed down 2 steps early...Scott didn't. "Quitters drag in the dummies". I never thanked him....but I never quit again.....

My Mother used to say there are two kinds of people in this world. Those that brighten a room when they walk in and those that brighten a room when they walk out. Scott was one of those that made a room fill with such an intense feeling of love and friendship. We will all miss that positive energy he shared until the very end.

On behalf of the Hamilton family, I send love and sympathy to the family of Scott Sutherland. We grew up as families getting together for many functions including one of our favorites, 4th of July fireworks out at Big Lake at our family home. So very sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all. The Hamilton Family
