Not sure what to say?

Shane was a friend of mine at the University of San Diego. He was in my French class. Anyway, after all these years, he crossed my mind today ... I think because I heard a song by 50 Cent and he introduced me to 50 Cent´s music (lol). He was very smart, sweet and humble. I regret not making it to his memorial service.

17 years ago today-impossible to fathom! When Shane was around 5 he´d say he would take me to Lego land in Denmark someday. He´d elaborate with that twinkle in his eye. Today I am imagining we have visited Atlantis and the fantastical musings we might have shared.

Very fond memories of dearest Shane. His mischievous eyes and great friendly smile. A great achiever, winning attitude and conqueror of challenges.
REST IN PEACE.

Sending prayers and love

I don't personally have a novel of memories with Dear Shane, but of them I remember his excited, happy personality. He stood out among the crowds and had such a sweet demeanor. He was part of my small, close group of friends back in Bozeman, MT.
Our friendship grew away from each other, as I moved too Chicago, IL. After reading upon history, so did Shane.
I can't imagine the loss of a child, or a family member and especially too early in his...

My dear Shane, thinking of you at Thanksgiving, your favorite holiday.
....carving turkey at the Darlington's and so many other wonderful memories. Your little Louis, last of your dogs and my dear little buddy died at age 14. I am so very sad he is gone but know you and the pack welcomed him over the rainbow bridge. Now you have them all. You always said, wouldn't it be fun to see them all play together. Take good care of them......I sure did!!! Love forever, Mom

Sounds like he was a remarkable young man, may his soul Rest in Eternal Peace, Amen!

Some people leave impressions far greater than their years. Shane drifts back into the little and big things of a day and into dreams at night. My mind still insists that he is out in the world and that one day we'll find time to reminisce on the special period when we were practically inseparable. I was well into my third decade and he was just starting school. I picture him as an actor or singer. When we were at the train station or in a grocery store he'd imitate characters he found...

Dearest Shane,
Miss you as much as ever. In Esher today with lots of fond memories of you everywhere....cricket club, Claremont, tennis courts, Oak Regis, lots of good friends. Juliette must be with you now......one dog left, little Louis. I've taken good care of your dogs. Hope you're having fun with them all. I'm not ready for Louis to leave yet....he's my best buddy. Lots of love, Mum

Dearest Shane. Now a shining bright star in the sky for all to see
