I met Sharon through the Poetry Society of Texas, an organization she has supported for many years. She was creative, hardworking, always smiling, and a dear friend.

Sharon always seemed to put her Christianity to work for her family, faith and friends. I enjoyed knowing her and attending family events, where she was a most gracious hostess. She leaves a legacy for her children and others who knew her.

It was a delight to know Sharon. Harvey and my Dad, Guy Hughes, were longtime friends. Sharon helped with the decorations of our daughter Chelsea's wedding. She supported our church from her hospital bed by purchasing a watercolor I donated for our fundraiser. She was a wonderful person and we will miss her love and kindness. Prayers for your family as you lay her to rest.
