We are so saddened by Shawn´s death. Kip, her cousin, kept up with her on Facebook after Sandy´s death. We were both very close to Sandy. I, Jane Potter Fleming,am from Wells, NY where Sandy spent a lot of time. Kip has lost both of his siblings, Candy and Jack. I hope Jody and Hilary will stay in touch with us on Facebook. We live in Georgia, but visit Wells in the summer. Kip remembers Armand also. Please tell him how saddened we are .

What a breath of sunshine, Shawn was. I remember seeing her, for the first time, in a long time at Jackson´s wedding. She was everything I had remembered, still the gracious, well put together lady , that acted like we hadn´t missed a day. My heart breaks to hear of her untimely passing. My prayers and comfort, I´m sending to all of Shawn´s family, especially to Gary and the kids, and I know the hurt her baby sister is feeling. Godspeed Shawn, you´ll be missed and loved. Sincerely saddened,...

Our daughters grew up together . Ashley was either at our house or Missy was at theirs. She was a great lady and they raised a very sweet daughter. My heart goes out to them. May God Heal their hearts in time. Shawn leaves a big hole in a lot of lives. Love you Ash

When I was a new teacher at Modesto High in 1970, I was struggling every day, unsure of myself and surviving on energy and enthusiasm to make up for my lack of knowledge and experience. I was blessed to have Shawn and her partner in crime, Teri Cullen, volunteer to be my classroom aides. They were smart, efficient, and gorgeous, especially Shawn, who looked like Cindy Crawford in embroidered hip-hugger jeans. They organized my classroom, kept track of my schedule, and generally assisted me,...

Words are hard to come by, we are so very sorry about Shawn´s passing. We live behind them and miss seeing her. She was such a sweet person, we enjoyed our times with both Gary and Shawn. Our thoughts and prayers are with her entire family at this time.

Gary and I retired the same year from Downey High, he from the social science department and I from the English department. He left an enduring legacy of excellence in teaching and coaching at the high school. I was told by several faculty members of the loss of his precious and supportive wife Shawn. Our prayers are with him and his family during this difficult and challenging time.
