Sheila KENNEDY Obituary

In loving memory of our beloved Sheila Joy Kennedy. Born on February 17, 1950, she passed away June 9, 2024, and is resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus.

The third child blessed to Howard and Joyce Kennedy of Spokane, Washington, she graduated from Central Valley High School in the class of 1968. Sheila went on to continue her education by attending Green River College, where she earned a degree in Occupational Therapy in 1995. She worked at numerous Skilled Nursing facilities in the Seattle and Spokane areas as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant before entering into retirement in 2020.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; in addition to her children, Heather (Quinton), and Brian (Cheri); and siblings, Dale (Terry), Ron (Carol), and Shelley (Paul). She leaves behind numerous grandchildren, Ashley R., Ashley (Forrest), Makayla (Jake), Nick, Braden, Camden; as well as her precious great-granddaughters, Mila, and Teal; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steve, and her parents.

Sheila Joy was truly the most beautiful soul, angelic in spirit, and kind. A true friend to all, the genuine love and compassion she expressed to everyone will be her legacy, and the blessing that all who met her will carry on forever.

Don't think of her as gone away.

Think of her as living in the hearts

of those she touched…..

For nothing loved is ever lost

And she was loved so much.

A private memorial service will be held at Thornhill Valley Chapel, on July 12, 2024.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Sheila, donations can be made to the Cancer Care Northwest Foundation at 1204 N. Vercler Rd., Spokane Valley, WA, 99216.
