Not sure what to say?

Dear Terry, It is with great sadness that I have learned very recently of your loss of Sheila. Please accept my belated but sincere condolencies. I lost touch with you both some 58 years ago, but we had shared some happy times together in a small group of "copains" in Paris in !962/63. As Sheila's obituary aptly described those halcyon days, though you (and a few others including me) were "supposedly studying at the Sorbonne, as the spring went on", we - and Sheila when she could spare...

Dear Terry, Debbie, and Blake,,
I was in the Daniel Island Library this morning when Tim told me of your wife/mother's death. I am so very sorry for you all. Rick and I lived next door to you on Winston Drive from May, 1975 till you moved to Newport Avenue in February, 1979. Sheila and I served on St. Martin's Altar Guild for several years. I considered her a good friend and thoroughly enjoyed hearing of her life in England. When she told me that her mother had had an emergency...

I was saddened to learn that Sheila, a beautiful and loving friend, is with us no more. Sheila's presence in Williamsburg was almost legendary, especially in the field of real estate. With her husband, Terry, she was a fixture on the College of William and Mary social scene. Together, they enlivened conversation with witty and thoughtful dialogue. Sheila was caring and kind; she loved her family and was proud of their achievements. Truly, she will be missed. RIP, dear Sheila, you are...

It is with heavy heart that we will say goodby to a wonderful person who touched so many lives in our City and area. Sheila and I worked together at Murphy and McCardle Realty, later becoming McCardle Realty for many years and I can candidly say that she was the very top of the game when it came to dedication, knowlege, and accomplishment in the real estate profession, having been a winner in sales and listings year after year. She was an inspiration not only to beginning agents but to all...

Our sympathies Terry, and to your family, on your loss of Sheila. We enjoyed knowing her as a neighbor, and admired her strength during her illness. Our condolences. Ginny & Page

Cari Blake, Graziella, e Camilla, vi siamo vicini in questo momento così triste. Un abbraccio.

What a beautiful life and admirably-navigated life story, full of the hardest things and the easiest. Our hearts are with you.

Thank you for writing the wonderful history of Sheila’s life. It brings a smile to remember why we enjoyed being with her. She will always be alive in our hearts!

She was the Queen of Real Estate. One of my early mentors and role models. The consummate professional. I enjoyed learning of her history prior to becoming a Realtor. May peace be with the family.
