My daughter, Megan Mastrangelo, played soccer with Shelby at Emmanuel. They became fast friends. Megan spoke often about Shel and the times they spent together. One of the last times was a Red Sox game. I didn't know your daughter I knew of her kindness and her uniqueness through Megan who treasured her friendship. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. May time heal and memories comfort you always

I have fond memories of Shelby from UMCCC! She and my son were avid readers and would talk about books! She kindly brought in a set of Magic Treehouse books for him because she thought he'd like them! Always a kind girl! Our thoughts are with her and her family!

I wish I could be in Connecticut to be with old friends and family to help send off lanterns for Shelby. I hope that it all goes well. I remember being in chorus with her back in middle school and she was always just so amazing and was always a shining star back then just as much as she was leading up to this. She was beautiful inside and out & she left way too soon. My deepest condolences to the Olsen family.
