Dear Auritt Family - In going through Facebook, I just saw the very sad news that dear Shelly passed away. I had no idea, and was so shocked and sad to see this. Shelly and Len were wonderful neighbors in Overbrook Park, and it was always a pleasure to run into each other and catch up. I am so sad to hear this news. With love and care - Shelly and Elliot Barnathan and family.

Lenny, Doubt that you will remember me from Overbrook but I just saw the notice about Shelly from Jerry Magill (I don't follow Facebook much). I had to say how sorry I was to read Shelly's name on his list. While we were no more than classmates, my memory of the two of you was very strong, for some reason. I remember you both as these really nice, very intelligent students who were kind TO everyone and liked BY everyone, and how nice it was that you found each other! I am sorry for your loss...

Just like our fellow classmate Randi below, I also very belatedly learned--just yesterday from our Overbrook HS reunion bulletin--that Shelly had died. Not only did I very appreciate the fact that you, Len, & Shelly maintained a long, close friendship with your neighbor--my late cousin Evelyn Kalick, but I am also very likely to never forget that Shelly was my very first (!) date when we went to a party together back in...6th grade.
