Not sure what to say?

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. It was a real privilege to have known Barcus while working with him in Scouting. I recently had a nice visit with him after not having seen him in years. He hadn't changed much - still a class act in every sense of the term. He will be missed.

Barc was always a good friend. I'm sorry to say we didn't keep in touch after High School. I'm sorry for the big hole his parting has left. I'm sending love and prayers.

Barc was a friend, and a great help to me while I navigated being a Scout leader in another troop. We discussed hiding out for a few weeks at Philmont, but we figured it would be the first place people would know to look. We all leave a part of ourselves there, but we take a larger part of it with us. I'll miss his common sense wisdom and humor stated in his West Texas accent. Vaya con Dios, Barcus.

Barc, The Haslams will miss you. Thank you for working with us and praying together at St Andrews. I will never forget your memorable line when we were frustrated with a bankruptcy case that the opponent in bankruptcy kept making what we perceived were false statements, and Barc said: " When you give up your morales, the rest is easy". Thanks for your expertise and working hard for a win for our client. I always enjoyed our conversations and time together. Bob Haslam
