Dunedin, FL - Sherilu Jean Jones (née Thoma), of Dunedin, Florida, passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on June 19, 1958, in Watertown, Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of Beverly Thoma and the late Eugene Thoma. Sherilu, known affectionately as Sheri to many, graduated from Hustisford High School and built a life centered around faith, family, and creativity. She shared her journey through life with her devoted husband, Roger. She had two daughters, Jackie (Winter) of Dunedin, FL and Nicole (Kronick) of Racine, WI who brought immense pride and joy into her life and one granddaughter Olivia Winter. Sheri's love for her family extended deeply to her granddaughter Olivia. In her own words, she wrote: "I especially want to mention that I thoroughly have enjoyed my time having my granddaughter, Olivia, in my life. She has been such a joy!" These heartfelt words reflect the warmth and affection she carried for those closest to her. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother, Beverly Thoma; and five sisters: Annie Wilson, Janet Gallas, Jenny Huchel, Kris Stephany, and Rose Blanchard. She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Thoma and sister Laura Harman. Sheri found great joy in simple pleasures and creative pursuits. She loved playing cards and board games with friends and family. Her hands were rarely idle-she spent countless hours crocheting intricate patterns, sewing with care and precision, tending to her garden with devotion, and filling her home with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals and baked goods. Jigsaw puzzles offered quiet moments of reflection and satisfaction as each piece found its place. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Sheri worshipped her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through song and prayer. She cherished fellowship with others in small group meetings held in homes-a setting that reflected both her humility and deep spiritual connection. Sheri's legacy is one of love expressed through action-through every stitch sewn with care, every meal prepared with warmth, every game played with laughter-and above all else, through the relationships she nurtured throughout her life. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 4th at Kiel Community Center, 510 3rd Street, Kiel, WI 53042 from 2:00-6:00 pm with a sharing time at 4:00 pm.
